Benjamin Franklin

Lived: January 17, 1706 - April 17, 1790

Accomplishments:

● Invented many things, such as the Franklin Stove, bifocals, and the lightning rod.

● Very accomplished printer: he printed a newspaper and Poor Richard’s Almanac.

● Signer of the Constitution and member of the Continental Congress.

Ben Franklin was one of the most accomplished scientists and inventors of his time. He was born in Boston, and he did an apprenticeship with his brother in his print shop. He ran away to Philadelphia, where he eventually started his own newspaper. He became one of the most successful individuals in the colonies.
