James Madison

Lived: March 16, 1751- June 28, 1836

Accomplishments:

● MAJOR contributor to the writing of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. He’s known as the “Father of the Constitution”

● Became the 4th President of the USA

● Wrote several of the Federalist papers, along with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay. These were major contributions to the ratification of the Constitution.

James Madison was a short guy. He was the shortest president ever at 5 feet 4 inches tall. However short he was, his list of accomplishments is nothing short (get it?) of enormous. He was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, wrote the actual document, and was President of the USA.
